Using these worksheets in teaching

Classifying angles is one of the few geometry topics where the misconception is visual rather than arithmetic: children decide an angle is bigger because its rays are drawn longer. Nothing here varies the arm length between the two figures of a comparison, so a child who believes that will get comparisons right by accident and be caught later — which is why it is worth asking out loud, once, what makes an angle big. The right angle is the anchor and should be taught as the thing everything else is measured against: acute is less than the corner of a page, obtuse is more, reflex has gone past a straight line. A paper corner beats a protractor for the first week, because it makes the comparison physical. Reflex angles are best introduced with the arc pointed at explicitly — the same drawing contains a 60° angle and a 300° one, and which is meant is a convention rather than something a child can reason out.

Are the angles drawn to size?
Yes. Every figure is two rays drawn at the exact number of degrees the answer key names, with a marked vertex and an arc across the opening, so a child who measures with a protractor gets the number the sheet expects. Nothing is drawn approximately and then labelled — the drawing is the question.
Is the number of degrees printed on the sheet?
No, and that is the point. The child names the angle from what it looks like — acute, right, obtuse or reflex — which is the classification skill; printing the measurement would turn every question into reading a label. The degrees appear on the answer key, so a teacher can settle an argument about a near-90° figure.
What does the reflex option do?
It adds angles over 180° to the naming questions. They are worth switching on once acute, right and obtuse are secure, because a reflex angle is the one children read wrongly: the drawing shows both the small angle and the large one, and the arc says which is being asked about. Comparison questions never use them — the picture of a reflex angle and the picture of its 360° partner are the same picture, so comparing one would test the marking convention rather than angle size.
Why can I not include reflex angles when comparing?
Because the comparison would not be answerable from the drawing. The control is disabled in comparing mode rather than left on and quietly ignored, and it comes back the moment you switch to naming or mixed — your choice is remembered in the meantime.
How different are two angles in a comparison?
At least 20 degrees apart, always. Below about that the two pictures stop being separable by eye at print size — a 75° and an 85° angle differ by about 2.6 mm at the end of the arm — so a closer pair would be a ruler exercise rather than a comparison. Which figure is A and which is B is part of the question, so the same two sizes can appear in either order.
Which paper sizes are supported?
