Using these worksheets in teaching
Matching is a recognition task, so it fits the stage just after new vocabulary is introduced and just before students are asked to produce it from memory. Keep the two columns similar in length — a one-word prompt against a full sentence makes the answers guessable by size alone. Because the answers are shuffled and never sit beside their own prompt, students have to read every option, which is where most of the learning happens. To revisit a list later, reuse the same pairs and press regenerate: the shuffle changes, so the sheet cannot be answered from memorized positions.
